Selling luxury food, coffee and spices, it wasn’t until half a century later that the company started to make whisky, and then not until post-US Prohibition that Chivas Regal 12 Year Old was first officially released. Chivas Regal 12 Year Old is a blended scotch whisky crafted for a smooth, warm taste and mouthfeel from scotch whiskies that are at least 12 years old.The Chivas Regal 12 Year Old is delicate on the nose with a bouquet of fruit, aniseed, toffee, and wild herbs. Like nearly all products of the brand of Chivas, the Chivas Regal 12 year however presents itself with the exact opposite facets. With its aroma, the Chivas Regal 12 year old blended Whisky imparts a fruity sound that is most likely due to apples. Some creamy honey joins as well as a light spice which comes into existence through heather and various other herbs. As a whole the Whisky recalls a rather sweetish scent, one to the thriving nature in spring.

On the tongue creamy honey is discovered, watching like a cloak over the vanilla beans and hazelnuts. Here again the apples swing in giving the Chivas Regal 12 year old a round fruity touch. Some toffee also shows.
